Figure 8 Blank, Spade, Spacer, and Spectacle Flanges are piping components used to isolate or control the flow of media in pipelines during maintenance, inspection, or shutdown operations.
Among them, the Spectacle Blind (Figure-8 Blank) combines a solid plate (blind) and a ring spacer connected by a web, resembling a pair of spectacles. This design allows easy switching between line blocking (closed) and flow passage (open) conditions.
These components are widely used in oil & gas, petrochemical, and process industries where positive isolation is required.
