Grade 100 Alloy Chain
 
Grade 100 alloy chain, also known as Gr 100 chain, is made of quenched and tempered alloy steel. Grade 100 chain is a newer product and becoming increasingly popular as a placement for grade 80 chain. The chain provides about 25% higher work load limits than grade 80 chain. The grade 100 chain is often used for overhead lifting purposes, or as tow & binder chain. If the chain is equipped with a special type of clevis grab hook, the chain will be the tie down chain. Grade 100 alloy tie down chain is not approved for lifting purposes.
