A Ship Sacrificial Anode is a galvanic anode used in cathodic protection (CP) systems to prevent corrosion of ship hulls and submerged metallic components. Installed on the external hull or inside ballast tanks, the anode protects steel surfaces by corroding preferentially, thereby extending the service life of the vessel.
